Happy weekend y'all! It's been kinda chilly lately in la for me. Yes. As a native Californian, chilly means anything below 70 degrees. Lol! So I decided to wear my tweed jacket that I got from Keene LA in westwood. It was on sale for $50 an was super cute, so I just had to have it.

California Girl

Lazy Lazy Humpday! If you're a Californian, then you're no stranger to the sweater and short combo. Most people wear a sweater, shorts, and UGGs. . . I find UGGs to be super soft and cozy, but my boyfriend refuses to let me wear/buy them. So my shoe collection is lacking in the Ugg department, but I have combat boots to compensate. I always feel super lazy in the middle of the week. Sometimes I'm excited for the middle of the week because its like a "slide" down into the weekend (*as some people describe the Humday as) or a tease because you've only gotten through half the work week. Anywho, this week is not too special, just a normal week and a lazy humpday for me. I was invited to go to Universal Studios today but I couldn't ditch my Chem Lab :( I guess there's always a next time..

Happy Monday everyone. . . but not really. Mondays are the worst because the last thing I want to do is go back to school/work. I wish the weekend was endless.. shoot, don't we all?! But anyways, since its Monday and I'm back to work/school, gotta wear something comfy for the beginning of the week. I saw a heart sweater at J. Crew that i fell in love with, but after seeing how much the sweater cost, i wasn't that much in love anymore. During that shopping trip I decided to stop inside Old Navy to see what they had to offer and lo' and behold, they had a heart sweater for a quarter of the price that J. Crew was selling theirs for. It didn't take me long to find a size and purchase this baby for only $20.

It's a beautiful day in California once again. I love weekends because I can wear absolutely anything I want. Today I chose to wear a cut off shirt from Brandy & Melville and some ponte pants from J. Crew for a super easy going day today. I ran errands, washed my baby (my car) because it was time to clean him up again.

Cut off shorts with a cutoff shirt with some combat boots are a great way to look bad ass. This isn't something I would wear to work but its definitely a weekend kind of outfit. The shoes are my favorite part. They're a little pricey but they are totally worth it. The shorts are pricey as well but its so hard to find cut-off shorts that don't reveal my butt. . . so when I tried these on, I had to buy them.

I really like the black on black outfits. Its really clean and simple. However, it can be kind of hard wearing all black without looking like you're gothic or going to a funeral. Add some color to touch it up. Like some white, gold, or even colored flats!! You can go the extra mile and put on some colored lipstick.

It's always sunny in California. :)

These leggings are the bomb! ahahah, they're really thick and warm. The great thing about them is that they dont show your undies! They're a little on the pricey end but it beats buying multiple leggings when one wears our and starts showing a little skin. Happy Shopping :)
